Saba was awarded the No 1 island for the Caribbean, Bermuda, and The Bahamas in Travel & Leisure Magazine's 11th annual World's Best awards. In a readers poll Saba was the overall winner for the Caribbean region, with a total of 79.50, with Virgin Gorda coming in 2nd place with 77.13, St. John took 3rd place with 76.85, Bermuda placed 4th with 76.25 and Anguilla took 5th place with 75.34.
In an intimate dinner awards ceremony at the "Top of the Rock" restaurant in Rockefeller Center on July 20th, Director of Tourism Mr. Glenn Holm accepted this very prestigious award, Commissioner of Tourism Mr. Will Johnson and Mrs. Johnson were also in attendance to witness this important milestone for Saba's tourism industry.
